September 5-7, 2008 Presented by ARC and MASNA

The Marine Aquarium Conference of North America (MACNA) is the largest and oldest conference focused on the marine aquarium hobbyist. MACNA XX will take place September 5th-7th 2008 at the Westin Hotel in Atlanta, Ga. Aquarium enthusiasts will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with peers and professionals, and to learn from leading researchers in the fields of aquaculture, marine biology, diving and oceanography. Over thirty presentations on reef-related topics will be featured during the course of the three-day event, including speakers from Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the Smithsonian, National Geographic, the Georgia Aquarium, and the BBC.

Tens of thousands of dollars in raffle prizes such as a trip for two to Fiji, over a hundred vendors of aquarium related products, workshops, a banquet at the Georgia Aquarium, and a children’s program are all highlights of MACNA XX. Based on pre-sales, this year’s MACNA is predicted to be the largest conference to date.

ARC The ARC is a non-profit organization of marine hobbyists who share the interest in keeping saltwater fish and reefs. We promote responsible reefkeeping and ecological preservation through education within the club and through outreach programs such as SaltwaterU. We welcome all enthusiasts, from those just interested in the hobby to seasoned veterans. If you are thinking about setting up a saltwater tank or just have experiences to share, this is the place.

MASNA MASNA is a not-for-profit organization composed of Marine Aquarium Clubs and Individual Hobbyists from North America totaling several thousand individuals.
